Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is rumored to be being prepared this year, where Samsung itself already has a design that they will use for this series of phones. But the interesting thing is that pieces of information about the design and dimensions that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will use.
Reporting via 9to5Google, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will come with support for dimensions that are much smaller than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, this will certainly be surprising because the Fold phone should have a wider design when opened.
If the size is smaller, then it should indeed be smaller than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 which has a thickness of 16mm. Of course, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will come with a thinner thickness if it is by the rumors we got.
According to Ice Universe through their official account on Weibo, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will come with a thickness of up to 13mm, a difference of 3mm from the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. It is possible that Samsung deliberately wants to present a series of phones with minimal thickness, and will most likely be used in the Flip 5 series.
Apart from Samsung, there are several series of phones that have a minimum thickness such as the Oppo Find N2 which is equipped with Waterdrop Hinge support and the same thickness as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, which is 16mm. There is also the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 which has a thickness of up to 11.2mm and is closest to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5.
Until now Samsung has also not provided leaks for the design and what the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 looks like, but of course, this information will be more when it comes to its release.

Samsung itself is planning to release the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 this summer, along with variants of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Watch 6, and Galaxy Tab S9. So it is likely to be released in August 2023 according to their previous timeline.
